Job Requirements

  • Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler's certification
  • Certification must be obtained by the first day or within the timeline required
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours
  • Must be able to stand for several hours
  • Must be able to bend stretch twist or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
  • Must be able to lift push pull or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests needs with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler's certification obtained or obtained within the required timeline
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection
  • Operate the grill station cooking proteins and taco ingredients to correct temperature
  • Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create flavorful dishes
  • Operate steam equipment preparing dishes that require steaming
  • Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring high standards
  • Prepare and cook ingredients according to Torchy's recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the workstation ensuring food safety and sanitation
  • Monitor quality and presentation of each dish
  • Collaborate with back-of-house team members for timely food preparation
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients
  • Operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods
