Job Requirements

  • Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler's certification
  • Certification(s) must be obtained by first day or within the timeline required by location
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant's needs
  • Must be able to stand for several hours
  • Must be able to bend stretch twist or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
  • Must be able to lift push pull or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests' needs with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience preferred
  • Food Handler's certification must be obtained by first day or within the timeline required by location
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and varied hours based on restaurant needs

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring each one meets high standards and guests' expectations
  • Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients on the grill fryer sauté and steam stations according to Torchy's recipes and standards
  • Monitor the quality and presentation of each dish ensuring that every taco meets Damn Good standards before it reaches the guest
