Job Requirements
- Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification
- Certification must be obtained by first day or within the timeline required by location
- Previous experience preferred
- Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
- Must be able to stand for several hours
- Must be able to bend stretch twist or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
- Must be able to lift push pull or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
- Ability to serve guests’ needs with high sense of urgency
- Ability to have fun
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and team collaboration skills
- Certification in food handling recommended
Job Duties
- Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
- Operate the grill station cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
- Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create flavorful and perfectly cooked dishes
- Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes requiring steaming maintaining the right texture and flavor
- Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring each one meets high standards and guest expectations
- Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients on multiple stations according to recipes and standards
- Monitor quality and presentation of each dish ensuring every taco meets Damn Good standards before it reaches the guest
- Maintain a clean and organized work station ensuring food safety and sanitation standards
- Work closely with other BOH team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation contributing to smooth kitchen operation
- Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients ensuring the kitchen is set up for success before and during service
- Operate with a sense of urgency during busy periods to keep up with guest demand while maintaining quality and presentation of food
