Job Requirements

  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
  • Available to work day shifts on weekdays and weekends
  • Must be able to work early mornings, afternoons, and weekends
  • Current ServSafe or health card
  • Ability to work when needed
  • Culinary program graduation preferred
  • Experience in food preparation and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from a culinary program desired
  • Current ServSafe or health card certification
  • Experience working in a healthcare food service environment preferred
  • Ability to follow approved recipes and menu guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to perform chef rounds and interact with patients for feedback

Job Duties

  • Prepare patient, family member, staff and physician food orders
  • Ensure accuracy of room service patient trays and café orders
  • Perform chef rounds to ensure patient satisfaction
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Assume lead role in the absence of Lead Cook, Supervisor, or Department Manager
  • Follow approved menus and recipes for meal preparation
  • Adhere to scheduled work shifts and duties
