Job Duties
- work alongside our manager on duty to promptly and efficiently fulfill orders according to bill flow and guest requests
- cook and plate all food according to recipes
- be knowledgeable about menu items, menus-changes and food preparation and allergy procedures
- consistently prepare ingredients, garnishes, sauces, etc. to specifications, weighing and measuring accurately
- restock station when necessary
- run various pieces of kitchen equipment, time the steps in each dish and know the cooking requirements of each dish
- quickly resolve complaints about food preparation or quality and communicate kitchen related needs to a manager
- control waste and to work to high efficiency with food ingredients
- manage quality of food items and stores food products correctly (FIFO)
- work each shift with a safety mindset
- be proactive in regard to front of the house and back of the house safety (food safety, potential hazards for employees or guests) 100% of the time
- adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times, maintaining a clean and organized workstation
