Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to provide legal documentation to work in the United States
  • Open availability
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior culinary or line cook experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and plating instructions
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Open availability

Job Duties

  • Learns all noodle recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung's procedures
  • Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
  • Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung's recipes
  • Plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung's plating guidelines
  • Prepares and cuts garnishes for noodle line items
  • Labels all items in accordance with health department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • Attends monthly staff meetings and noodle meetings
  • Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
  • Organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
  • Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
