Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic kitchen setting
Job Duties
- Learns all noodle recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung's procedures
- checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
- cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung's recipes
- plates the final product per Din Tai Fung's plating guidelines
- prepares and cuts garnishes for noodle line items
- labels all items in accordance with health department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
- attends monthly staff and noodle meetings
- keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
- organizes items within walk-in coolers and freezers
- lifts and moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables up to 50 pounds
- assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
- maintains confidentiality regarding proprietary information including recipes and standard operating procedures
