Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation or similar kitchen roles
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Availability to work the specified AM or PM shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a prep cook or similar role
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen setting
  • Manual dexterity to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables and performing other meal prep tasks
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, and desserts
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and washing dishes
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Assist in monitoring food stock and placing orders when there are shortages
