Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven cooking experience including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to stand or walk for 8 hour shifts and lift 50+ pounds
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, culinary training preferred
  • Proven cooking experience including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
  • Ability to stand or walk for 8 hour shifts and lift 50+ pounds

Job Duties

  • Set-up and stocking line stations with all necessary supplies and equipment
  • Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meats, preparing sauces, etc.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with other team members
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
  • Breakdown and clean up station and properly handle and store left over food from service
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
