Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant
  • ability to obtain food handling and sanitation certification within four weeks of hire
  • good attitude and work ethic
  • ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • complete opening duties including setting up the workstation with necessary tools equipment and supplies
  • inspect cleanliness and working condition of tools equipment and supplies
  • check production schedule and pars and establish priority items for the day
  • communicate with Chef or Kitchen Manager regarding supplies requisition and shortages
  • transport and stock supplies from storeroom to designated areas
  • start prep work on items needed for the morning menu
  • prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides according to department standards
  • notify food and beverage service staff of unavailable or limited menu items throughout the meal period
