Job Requirements

  • Experience as a pantry, prep, or line cook in a fast-paced, high volume, premium casual restaurant preferred
  • Experience with fresh products preferred
  • Must be able to taste to distinguish between flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel, and smell all food and beverage products
  • Must be able to work in environments with extreme cold and heat, loud noises, fumes, odors, dust, and smoke
  • Must use cut gloves as required by company policy
  • Must communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, team members, vendors, and guests
  • Ability to understand English communication
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to lift, handle, and carry food, equipment, and supplies up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and move briskly for up to eight hours
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently
  • Must maintain good grooming habits

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently

Job Duties

  • Complete daily prep assignments including salads and desserts
  • Maintain cleanliness of line and prep areas
  • Prepare and cook fried foods
  • Operate broiler and oven according to kitchen needs
  • Prep, season, and cook all entrees including meat, poultry, and seafood
  • Assist chefs in cutting meat following specifications
  • Oversee sautéing and grilling stations
  • Report problems to Sous Chef or Executive Chef
  • Rotate and restock pantry and supplies
  • Coordinate with food runners to ensure timely service
  • Complete station closing duties
  • Maintain sanitation and food safety standards
  • Adhere to uniform and hygiene standards
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
