Job Requirements

  • experienced in food preparation
  • punctual and reliable
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • capable of lifting and carrying weights up to 60 pounds
  • adherence to hygiene and safety protocols
  • ability to work part-time

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred

Job Duties

  • arrive promptly to make sure station is not left unattended and leave at the scheduled time unless requested by a manager
  • go through station to assess prep-list to be fully stocked for service and guarantee freshness
  • keep hotel standards of quality according to supervisor’s training on quality and presentation
  • handle customer orders in a timely and quality minded manner
  • follow every order to ensure items are as the guest ordered and special preparations are being taken into consideration
  • make customer satisfaction the primary concern keeping in mind the interest of the hotel
  • clarify orders with a waiter and notify supervisor if an order is not understood
  • report any concerns about freshness or proper execution of a recipe to the chef
  • ensure station is clean and food is tightly wrapped at the end of the day and communicate needs for the next day to supervisor
