Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred
  • ServeSafe or Food Handler's certification or must be willing to attain
  • ability to lift 30 plus lbs
  • ability to work standing for 8 plus hours
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • maintain freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, storing items at the proper temperature and rotating stock
  • ensure all food items are accurately and consistently prepared according to recipes, up to restaurant quality standards, and served in a timely manner
  • respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
  • communicate effectively with chefs, other cooks, and front-of-house team to maintain a positive workplace
  • contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere
  • manage multiple priorities during service hours
