The position available is for a Food Service Worker at East Alabama Medical Center. This role is critical in supporting the healthcare facility’s daily operations by preparing and sometimes serving food for patient trays and cafeteria customers. The Food Service Worker operates in accordance with established menus and recipes, ensuring that every meal meets the quality and nutritional standards set forth by the center. Additionally, adherence to departmental safety guidelines is a fundamental aspect of this role, which helps maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff. The ideal candidate will have prior foodservice experience and a commitment to learning and growing within the healthcare foodservice field. This role contributes directly to patient satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate food delivery, making it an integral part of the patient care team.

Job Requirements

  • minimum 6 months foodservice experience
  • must receive Serv-Safe manager certification within 6 months of hire date
  • preferred high school diploma
  • preferred 1 year foodservice experience
