Job Requirements

  • valid Oregon Food Handlers Card
  • previous experience in restaurant line, prep, or sous roles
  • ability to lift and move goods weighing up to 100 lbs continuously
  • excellent communication skills

  • ability to maintain consistent attendance
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely

Job Duties

  • maximize dining room and room service revenue through quality, uniformity, portion size and presentation of food products
  • prepare food consistently following recipe cards and production standards
  • prepare food items ahead of time without over-preparing
  • date and rotate food containers per Sheraton Hotel standards, ensuring proper storage temperatures
  • check pars for shift use and set up line accordingly
  • note out-of-stock items and assist in buffet stocking
  • return unused food to storage properly covered and dated
  • assist in food cost control and food waste management
  • support kitchen, banquet, and room service staff
  • operate and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill
  • comply with attendance rules and maintain regular availability
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
