Job Requirements
- Previous restaurant line, prep, or sous experience
- Valid Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule
- Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Communicate well with guests
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition
- Willing to help coworkers
- Comply with attendance and availability rules
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience working on restaurant line, prep or as sous chef
- Valid Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Ability to operate kitchen machinery safely and effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
- Team player attitude and willingness to assist coworkers
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs regularly

Job Duties
- Maximize dining room and room service revenue through quality, uniformity, portion size and presentation of all food products
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per check from servers
- Start food items that are prepared ahead of time without over-preparing estimated needs
- Date all food containers and rotate as per Sheraton Hotel standards, ensuring proper temperature for perishables
- Check inventory pars for shift use, prepare necessary food items, pull from freezer and set up line, note any out-of-stock items or shortages
- Return unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables
- Assist in monitoring and correcting food cost problems and controlling food waste, loss and usage according to Sheraton Hotel standards
- Support all kitchen, banquet, and room service staff
- Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment such as deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
