Job Requirements

  • 2 years of previous restaurant or culinary experience preferred
  • Food handler certification if applicable
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Positive interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of previous restaurant or culinary experience in high volume, full service restaurant preferred
  • Food handler certification if applicable
  • Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Good time management and organizational abilities
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Able to establish positive rapport with diverse personalities

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to guests in a timely manner
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service
  • Prepare food items according to specifications including preparation, execution, and presentation
  • Comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
  • Prevent spoilage and contamination of foods by following proper sanitation practices and health regulations
  • Maintain a clean work station including all kitchen equipment
  • Assist in the daily cleaning of pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in, and prep area
  • Report maintenance or repairs needed to the Executive Chef
  • Follow departmental policies and restaurant rules and regulations set forth in the Employee Handbook and by management
