Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and state food safety regulations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures according to HACCP standards
  • Abides by company policies including safety protocols such as use of cut-resistant gloves and thermal protection
  • Demonstrates personal commitment to safety and other duties as assigned
