Job Requirements
- Minimum experience as a pantry, prep, or line cook
- Ability to work in extreme temperature environments
- Compliance with company safety standards including use of cut gloves
- Effective English communication and listening skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive movements such as bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching and squatting
- Good personal grooming habits
- Punctuality and accountability
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a pantry, prep, or line cook in a fast-paced, high volume, premium casual restaurant preferred
- Experience with fresh products preferred
- Ability to taste and distinguish flavors, spices, temperatures, and odors
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work on nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Knowledge of safety and hygiene standards in kitchen environments
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients and stations used in cooking process
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
- Complete daily prep assignments including salads and desserts
- Cook fried foods and operate broiler and oven (Line Cook 2 requirements)
- Prep, season, and cook entrees including meat, poultry, and seafood (Line Cook 3 responsibilities)
- Assist chefs in meat cutting and oversee sauteing and grilling stations
- Communicate and coordinate with food runners to ensure timely service
- Stock and rotate pantry food items, condiments, and supplies
- Perform station closing duties and assist with kitchen cleanliness
- Adhere to all safety and health guidelines throughout shifts
