Job Requirements

  • Previous experience required
  • Minimum formal education of a high school diploma
  • Food handling certification
  • Excellent customer service focus and communication skills
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English

Job Duties

  • Plan, prep, and set up food items for menu and specials
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
  • Meet with Head Cook and Sous Chef to review assignments and business levels
  • Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides
  • Communicate assistance needs during busy periods to Sous Chef
  • Inform Head Cook of excess items usable for daily specials
  • Maintain proper storage procedures per Health Department and Hotel requirements
  • Minimize waste and control food costs
  • Review work status and follow-up actions with Head Cook before leaving
