Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years of cooking experience
  • Prior experience in hotel or restaurant cooking preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Must comply with health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong work ethic and reliability

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Job Duties

  • Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and/or guest check to ensure consistency of product
  • Visually inspects, selects, and uses only ideal food items for cooking
  • Checks and controls proper storage of products, monitors age and condition of food
  • Keeps refrigeration equipment, storage, and working areas clean and clutter free in compliance with health regulations
  • Prepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items
  • Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment
