Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience in fast casual or similar environments
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Weekend availability required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and follow company policies

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a line cook position or similar food industry role preferred
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
  • Familiarity with dietary department operations or dietary aide roles is beneficial
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food safety
  • Strong teamwork skills and effective communication in a busy kitchen environment
  • Passion for cooking and desire to continually learn and improve culinary skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Job Duties

  • Ensure that every meal that leaves the kitchen lives up to quality standards
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages or needs
  • Present yourself in a professional manner, including following all uniform guidelines
  • Maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas and adhere to food sanitation standards
