Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking experience in fast casual or similar environments
- Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
- Weekend availability required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and follow company policies
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a line cook position or similar food industry role preferred
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with dietary department operations or dietary aide roles is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food safety
- Strong teamwork skills and effective communication in a busy kitchen environment
- Passion for cooking and desire to continually learn and improve culinary skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Job Duties
- Ensure that every meal that leaves the kitchen lives up to quality standards
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages or needs
- Present yourself in a professional manner, including following all uniform guidelines
- Maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas and adhere to food sanitation standards
