Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of cooking experience including line cook or prep cook roles
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Capacity to work in a small, fast-paced, and moving train environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Availability for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legal documentation to work in the United States
- Minimum English language proficiency required
- Willingness to obtain Serve Safe certification if not already held
Job Qualifications
- Proven cooking experience including line cook or restaurant cook roles
- Excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work accurately and swiftly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for fine dining and exceptional guest service
- Culinary school diploma is a plus
- Serve Safe certification or ability to obtain one
- Basic English speaking and reading skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals for guests on legacy, lunch, and dinner train experiences
- Support seasonal events and private functions with food preparation
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, moving train environment
- Collaborate with culinary team to ensure smooth and timely meal service
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to deliver consistent quality
- Assist in inventory management and kitchen organization
