Job Requirements
- must be legally authorized to work in the united states
- at least 18 years of age
- minimum two years of proven cooking experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
- ability to accurately and quickly execute assigned tasks
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to work in a small space on a moving train
- ability to stand for long periods
- available for day or evening shifts including weekends and holidays
- serve safe certification or willingness to obtain
- must speak and read english
Job Qualifications
- minimum of two years of proven cooking experience including line cook or restaurant cook roles
- excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- familiarity with industry best practices
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- positive energy and receptiveness to coaching
- culinary school diploma is a plus
- serve safe certification or ability to obtain
- proficiency in English
Job Duties
- prepare and cook meals for guests on various train experiences including legacy, lunch, and dinner train
- assist with cooking for seasonal experiences and private events
- maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- ensure swift and accurate execution of assigned tasks
- work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to deliver excellent customer service
- adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- support a positive and professional team environment
