Job Requirements

  • must be legally authorized to work in the united states
  • at least 18 years of age
  • minimum two years of proven cooking experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
  • ability to accurately and quickly execute assigned tasks
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • ability to work in a small space on a moving train
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • available for day or evening shifts including weekends and holidays
  • serve safe certification or willingness to obtain
  • must speak and read english

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of two years of proven cooking experience including line cook or restaurant cook roles
  • excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • familiarity with industry best practices
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • positive energy and receptiveness to coaching
  • culinary school diploma is a plus
  • serve safe certification or ability to obtain
  • proficiency in English

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook meals for guests on various train experiences including legacy, lunch, and dinner train
  • assist with cooking for seasonal experiences and private events
  • maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • ensure swift and accurate execution of assigned tasks
  • work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • support a positive and professional team environment
