Job Requirements

  • Previous cooking experience
  • minimum of 3 years in a similar position preferred
  • culinary or apprenticeship program preferred
  • high school diploma preferred
  • manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment including knives spoons spatulas tongs slicers
  • ability to lift push or pull weights up to 100 pounds
  • ability to stand for long periods and work in confined space with high noise levels and frequent interruptions
  • ability to work within extreme temperature ranges
  • ability to obtain necessary local state or federal licenses or certifications

Job Qualifications

  • sufficient manual dexterity to use all kitchen equipment such as knives spoons spatulas tongs slicers
  • ability to lift push or pull weights up to 100 pounds
  • ability to stand for long periods work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges
  • ability to obtain any local state or federal license or certification for sanitation liquor service or food service certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes ensuring consistency and quality
  • monitor product storage portion sizes and special items like stocks and sauces
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations
  • ensure equipment is clean sanitized and operational
  • uphold high standards of food production and presentation
  • maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices
  • manage station setup breakdown and prep work
  • follow recipe specifications for all food preparation
