Job Requirements

  • U.S. work authorization
  • Use of slicers and heavy equipment if over 18
  • Protective clothing including slip resistant shoes
  • Ability to stand regularly
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Legible handwriting
  • Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate dining and kitchen areas smoothly
  • Safe knife handling practice

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract and count change
  • Legible handwriting
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Ability to stand regularly
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift, carry, and deliver items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
  • Work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
  • Stay focused on designated tasks during prime service hours
  • Communicate consistently with co-workers
  • Help prepping and getting ready when station is ready for service
  • Practice safe knife handling
  • Open and close the kitchen properly following opening and closing checklist for kitchen stations
