Job Requirements
- U.S. work authorization required
- Ability to stand regularly
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to lift, carry, and deliver boxes and items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to navigate dining room, kitchen, and facility areas smoothly
- Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and counting change
- Legible handwriting
- Use slip resistant shoes as protective clothing
- If over 18, able to use slicers and heavy equipment
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and counting change
- Legible handwriting
- Strong customer service and oral communication skills
- Ability to stand regularly and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
- Smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen, and other facility areas
Job Duties
- Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
- Work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
- Stay focused on designated tasks during prime service hours
- Communicate consistently with co-workers
- Help with prepping and getting ready when the station is ready for service
- Practice safe knife handling
- Open and close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations
