Job Requirements

  • U.S. work authorization required
  • Ability to stand regularly
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift, carry, and deliver boxes and items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to navigate dining room, kitchen, and facility areas smoothly
  • Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and counting change
  • Legible handwriting
  • Use slip resistant shoes as protective clothing
  • If over 18, able to use slicers and heavy equipment
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and counting change
  • Legible handwriting
  • Strong customer service and oral communication skills
  • Ability to stand regularly and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen, and other facility areas

Job Duties

  • Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
  • Work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
  • Stay focused on designated tasks during prime service hours
  • Communicate consistently with co-workers
  • Help with prepping and getting ready when the station is ready for service
  • Practice safe knife handling
  • Open and close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations
