Job Requirements

  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception

  • Wear slip resistant shoes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • Basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract and count change
  • Legible handwriting
  • Strong customer service and oral communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and use hands and arms effectively
  • Ability to lift, carry and deliver items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to navigate dining room, kitchen, and other areas smoothly

Job Duties

  • Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
  • Manage timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
  • Stay focused on designated tasks during prime service hours and communicate consistently with co-workers
  • Assist other stations with prep and readiness when your station is prepared
  • Practice safe knife handling and follow opening and closing checklists for kitchen stations
