Job Requirements
- U.S. work authorization required
- Ability to stand regularly
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to lift, carry, and deliver boxes and items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to navigate dining room, kitchen and other facility areas smoothly
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Slip resistant shoes required
- Must be able to use slicers and heavy equipment if over 18
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, and count change
- Legible handwriting
- Strong customer service and oral communication skills
- Ability to stand regularly and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
Job Duties
- Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
- Timing is everything
- work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
- During prime service hours, stay focused on designated tasks
- Communicate consistently with co-workers
- When your station is ready for service, see who else may need help with prepping and getting ready
- Practice safe knife handling
- If training is needed, see the Chef
- Open/close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations
