Job Requirements
- U.S. work authorization required
- Regular ability to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to lift, carry, and deliver items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen, and other facility areas
- Use slicers and heavy equipment if over 18
- Protective clothing required such as slip resistant shoes
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, and count change
- Legible handwriting
- Strong customer service and oral communication skills
- Ability to stand regularly and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to lift and carry boxes or items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to navigate dining room, kitchen, and other facility areas
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Job Duties
- Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
- Manage timing to ensure every ticket is completed in an appropriate amount of time
- Stay focused on designated tasks during prime service hours and communicate consistently with co-workers
- Assist other kitchen stations with prepping and getting ready when your station is set
- Practice safe knife handling and seek training if needed
- Open and close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations
