Job Requirements

  • U.S. work authorization required
  • Regular ability to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to lift, carry, and deliver items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to smoothly navigate dining room, kitchen, and other facility areas
  • Use slicers and heavy equipment if over 18
  • Protective clothing required such as slip resistant shoes

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, and count change
  • Legible handwriting
  • Strong customer service and oral communication skills
  • Ability to stand regularly and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes or items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to navigate dining room, kitchen, and other facility areas
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
  • Manage timing to ensure every ticket is completed in an appropriate amount of time
  • Stay focused on designated tasks during prime service hours and communicate consistently with co-workers
  • Assist other kitchen stations with prepping and getting ready when your station is set
  • Practice safe knife handling and seek training if needed
  • Open and close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations
