Job Requirements

  • Must represent Cooper's Hawk values
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Thrive in a team-based environment
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules including weekends and some holidays
  • Ability to work under conditions such as wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noises
  • Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods up to 6 hours
  • Ability to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months line cook experience in upscale casual dining or equivalent service environment
  • Basic knowledge of professional cooking and proficiency in knife skills while using a cut-glove
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong communication skills to interact clearly with guests, managers, and team members
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per shift

Job Duties

  • Maintain Cooper's Hawk quality standards by preparing assigned recipes to specification
  • Follow recipes, manage portion control, and adhere to presentation specifications
  • Set up station according to established specifications
  • Properly use the kitchen display system to manage cook times while preparing and multitasking several dishes simultaneously
  • Restock all items as needed throughout the shift
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in like-new condition
  • Clean and maintain station following safety, sanitation, and organizational protocols
  • Maintain professional relationships and clear communication with managers and team members
  • Follow departmental checklists and standard operating procedures to ensure work areas are prepared for opening, mid-shift, or closing
  • Perform other duties as assigned
