  • Elementary culinary knowledge and initiative to learn

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of vegetable and fruit preparation
  • understanding of meats, poultry, and game
  • knowledge of reconstituted foods, stocks, soups and sauces
  • familiarity with fish and shellfish preparation
  • knowledge of egg and dairy products
  • understanding of farinaceous foods and cereals
  • working knowledge of broil, roast, sauté, fry, poach, steam, and baking techniques
