Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Legible handwriting
- Strong customer service and oral communication skills
Job Duties
- Know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
- Work on timing to get every ticket out in an appropriate amount of time
- Remain focused on designated tasks during prime service hours and communicate consistently with co-workers
- Help with prepping and getting ready when the station is ready for service
- Keep workstation clean and stocked
- Practice safe knife handling and seek training if needed
- Assist in putting away deliveries when help is needed
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Respect each co-worker including front of house
- Look for ways to be productive when there is time to spare
- Open and close the kitchen properly following checklists and assist others
- Report co-worker issues to managers for resolution
- Arrive promptly in full uniform for shifts and mandatory meetings
- Submit and discuss requested days off at least two weeks in advance
- Follow and abide by all employee handbook policies
- Maintain a positive attitude and have fun at work
