Job Requirements

  • u.s. work authorization required
  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to work promptly and adhere to schedule
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards
  • basic cooking skills
  • ability to follow directions and work under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • at least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • basic math skills including addition and subtraction
  • legible handwriting
  • strong customer service skills
  • effective oral communication skills

Job Duties

  • know and understand every item on the menu including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
  • assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • work closely with the chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
  • time every order to ensure timely delivery during service
  • communicate consistently with co-workers, especially during peak hours
  • keep workstation clean and stocked
  • assist with prep work and help others when stations are ready
  • practice safe knife handling
  • assist in putting away deliveries when needed
  • lift up to 50 pounds
  • respect co-workers including front of house
  • seek productive tasks when idle
  • properly open and close kitchen according to checklist
  • report issues with co-workers to management
  • arrive promptly and in full uniform
  • request days off with approval two weeks in advance
  • follow all employee handbook policies
  • maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a fun work environment
