Job Requirements

  • 2+ years in a line cook position in a similar environment
  • ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
  • English fluency
  • additional languages preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ years experience as a line cook in a similar environment
  • strong passion for food and cooking techniques
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • familiarity with kitchen equipment and safety standards
  • good knife skills with ability to maintain tools
  • English fluency required
  • additional languages a plus but not required
  • commitment to quality and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
  • responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations including preparation, cooking, and portioning of food
  • maintain and properly use all kitchen equipment including fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers and rotisserie
  • consistently ensure that prep duties are excellently prepped, seasoned and cooked to standards by designated times
  • follow standard operating procedures of all recipes, techniques, and build sheets
  • responsible for correct product storage of all mise en place, including labeling and dating
  • maintain properly sharpened knives and tools exhibiting average knife skills in speed and accuracy
  • maintain a clear dish station including chemicals, janitorial supplies, and health department standards
  • support the team in hospitality and kitchen tasks such as call-outs and catering
  • have intimate knowledge of Department of Health standards and hold the team accountable to keep kitchen spaces tidy
