Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- minimum 2 years of relevant cooking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to work 3pm-close 4-5 nights a week
- ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for long periods
- regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs
- exposure to heat, cold, and loud kitchen environments
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- minimum 2 years of relevant cooking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- strong knowledge of various cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, fine dining kitchen
- must be able to work 3pm-close 4-5 nights a week
- previous experience in upscale or fine dining restaurants preferred
- proficiency with specialty equipment such as tilting skillets, salamanders, pasta makers, and steam kettles preferred
- basic English communication skills, ability to read and follow recipes and instructions
Job Duties
- execute all cooking techniques with accuracy including sauteing, roasting, braising, grilling, broiling, baking, steaming, and poaching with focus on grill and pasta
- prepare ingredients and dishes according to standardized recipes and specifications
- maintain proper food storage, labeling, rotation, and sanitation practices per health and safety regulations
- follow the kitchen's production schedule and contribute to prep work as needed
- maintain proper portion control, plate presentation, and garnishing standards
- keep workstations clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout service
- assist with inventory control and the receiving and stocking of deliveries
- collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient and smooth service during peak periods
