Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a cook in a professional kitchen
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
  • excellent interpersonal skills to work well within a team
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Job Duties

  • inspect and clean food preparation areas such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • maintain freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality keeping track of old and new items storing items at the proper temperature and rotating stock
  • ensure all food items are accurately and consistently prepared according to recipes up to restaurant quality standards and served in a timely manner
  • respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
  • communicate effectively with chefs other cooks and front-of-house team to maintain a positive workplace
