Job Requirements
- Effective communication in English verbal and written
- Minimum one year experience as a cook
- Ability to work from standing position for extended periods
- Neat appearance with good personal hygiene
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, pull or push 25 lbs
- Ability to twist, bend or reach without significant limitations
- May be exposed to smoke-filled environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one year experience as a cook
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to follow standard recipes and food safety guidelines
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic food preparation and sanitation knowledge
- Positive attitude toward training and development
Job Duties
- Prepare broiled, fried, baked and grilled food items according to kitchen needs
- Operate grill, fryer, broiler, oven and French top as required
- Perform preliminary preparation work timely
- Ensure ingredient supply levels are accurate
- Move items from shelves to carts and transport for restocking
- Maintain required par of food items at assigned station
- Keep work area sanitary and organized
- Understand and maintain proper safety and health codes
- Ensure assigned areas are clean and free of debris
- Demonstrate proper care, storage, use and cleaning of tools and equipment
- Demonstrate competent product knowledge by proper handling of perishables
- Prepare food products according to standard recipes and training
- Communicate effectively with team members and service personnel
- Assist with additional job-related duties as assigned
