Job Requirements

- Previous culinary experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately
- Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Good communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and detailed instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including overnight
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
Job Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service to all residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors of residents in the community
- Communicate with immediate supervisor on par levels of food items
- Review daily recipes for required ingredients and ensure sufficient stock of all ingredients
- Accurately follow recipes provided, including cooking times and ingredient preparation
- Ensure that refrigerators, freezers, working areas and kitchen are kept clean
- Ensure that equipment is functioning, sanitized and that any maintenance is reported to supervisor
- Ensure strict control of waste and portion and help to control food quality and cost using standard recipe methods, pictures
- Design specials for the day when required
- Ensure compliance with all local laws, and health and sanitation regulations
- Must be able to perform all line, prep and sanitation duties
- Participate in on-going in-service and training requirements
- Follow emergency procedures
- Understand and comply with all Inspir safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work the overnight shift
- Ability to receive and properly store food deliveries, including and the receipt and storage of overnight deliveries
