Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- State sanitation certificate
- 3-4 years of related food service and cooking experience preferred
- Intermediate to advanced knife skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow written instructions and recipes
- Must be dependable and organized
- Ability to work within policy and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including some holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must comply with food safety and sanitation regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- Training in ServSafe is beneficial
- State sanitation certificate
- 3-4 years of advanced food service and cooking experience preferred
- Experience operating kitchen equipment
- Intermediate to advanced knife skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to follow recipes and safety practices independently
- Basic computer skills
- Dependable and detail oriented
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Patience and compassion for senior adults
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook foods to order using classical cooking techniques
- Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistent food quality and portion control
- Maintain high sanitation and safety standards in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment to prepare ingredients including washing, cutting, and trimming
- Plate food with attention to appearance and garnish
- Participate in safety meetings and foodborne illness training sessions
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and food areas
