Job Duties
- arrive at scheduled times, neat, alert, and in full uniform
- prepare all foods to proper doneness and season correctly
- check with executive or sous chef for any special items needed for meal period
- produce correct amount to avoid waste
- assist with preparation of other food products on serving line
- properly assemble all tools and utensils needed
- prioritize work and ensure immediate needs are met
- show commitment to teamwork
- follow sanitation practices
- properly cool and store all foods
- keep station and coolers clean and neat
- use proper personal hygiene
- prepare items as assigned on daily production board
- return unused food products to proper storage
- keep walk-in cooler, shelf and reach-in cooler clean and organized
- ensure all items are wrapped, dated, labeled and stored properly
- clean work station and equipment
- maintain safety and security in work station
- make plate drawings of daily specials and keep on record
- carefully follow standard recipes
- have knowledge of all menu items and daily specials, including cooking methods, presentations and portion sizes
- notify executive or sous chefs of product shortages
- perform other duties as assigned
