Job Requirements

  • Prior experience as a line cook required
  • Minimum of 1-year previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations required
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Ability to comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, multitask, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook all food items by recipe and to specification
  • Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked
  • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers
  • Stock inventory and supplies appropriately
  • Follow executive or sous chef's instructions
  • Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat and preparing sauces
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and timely fashion
