Job Requirements
- At least one year of cooking experience working as a team in a fast-paced kitchen
- Knowledge of kitchen cleanliness
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to lift at least 20-40 pounds at a time on a regular basis
- Completes work in timely manner
- Works quickly
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils
- Prepare food in accordance with guest's request and recipe standards
- Patience, tact and diplomacy
- Must have a valid food handlers' card
- Work as a productive team member by contributing positive energy
- Perform the duties of the position in a safe manner
- Be professional in all interactions with associates

Job Duties
- Prepares all the food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follows recipes, controls, portion, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of the products served
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
- Tracks and reports any food waste
- Properly handles, stores and rotates all the products
- Prepares dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Responsible for station set-up, breakdown, and all advance prep work
- Keeps stations clean and well stocked with menu ingredients
- Keeps the kitchen clean and sanitized
- Monitors and oversees food temperatures during hot and cold handling
- Communicates with management product deficiencies, equipment, and safety issues
