Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in restaurant and/or culinary environment preferred
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Proven ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- Two years of previous restaurant and culinary experience in a high volume, full service restaurant preferred
- Time management and organizational ability for high quality food production
- Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision
- Food Handler Certification if applicable
- Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Ability to establish positive rapport with diverse personalities
- Flexible schedule able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to the guests in a timely manner
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
- Follow item specifications including preparation, execution, and presentation
- Consistently comply with standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Prevent spoiling and contamination of foods by implementing proper sanitation practices and ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Maintain a clean work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saute burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment
- Assist in daily cleaning of pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in and prep area
- Report maintenance or repairs needed to Executive Chef
- Follow departmental policies and restaurant rules and regulations
