Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two plus years of relevant food service experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and food preparation guidelines
  • Capacity to work 9:45am to 6:45pm including weekends
  • Successful completion of background check, fingerprint clearance, physical exam, TB test and drug screen
  • Commitment to working with seniors and providing high quality food service

Job Qualifications

  • Two plus years food service experience in a restaurant, hospital or senior living retirement community setting preferred
  • Understanding of overall food service production
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations
  • Experience in quality food production
  • Excellent dining service skills
  • Ability to work weekends and full-time hours
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in a timely fashion
  • Follow recipes accurately
  • Prepare food throughout the day as needed
  • Maintain proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing food
  • Ensure quality food production and excellent dining service
  • Adhere to state and federal food service regulations
  • Assist with kitchen cleanliness and organization
