Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in culinary or food preparation preferred
  • Ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
  • Physical stamina to stand and lift for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must qualify for licensing by Ohio Lottery Commission
  • Ability to work in environments with second-hand smoke and varying conditions

  • Must have open availability including all shifts, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Accept direction during day to day operations to ensure culinary standards and operational guidelines are met within specific outlet and shift
  • kitchen areas, food preparation activities, and facilities management
  • Efficient preparation of all food items based on established recipes and plating procedures for batch and individual plated orders
  • Adjust thermostat controls to regulate cooking equipment temperatures including ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
  • Add seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking
  • Observe and test foods by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to ensure proper cooking
  • Carve meats, portion food and serving plates, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings to complete orders
  • Wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits for preparation
  • Support safety and accident prevention programs including proper footwear, knife handling, and lifting techniques
  • Partner with culinary leadership to coordinate workflow and meet business demands
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned
  • Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and gaming laws
  • Perform job duties in a safe and responsible manner, maintaining cleanliness and safety compliance
  • Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements
  • Assist in promoting productivity and respond to reasonable requests by supervision
