Job Duties
- Preparing ingredients by washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning
- Setting up cooking stations with necessary tools and ingredients
- Cooking dishes according to recipes and standards including grilling, sautéing, frying
- Plating food to ensure visual appeal and proper garnishing
- Managing timing to serve food at the right temperature and promptly
- Reading and interpreting order tickets accurately
- Coordinating with other line cooks and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
- Maintaining cleanliness and following food safety protocols
- Managing inventory and supplies, assisting with stock rotation
- Accommodating dietary restrictions and special requests
- Communicating effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
