Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in kitchen roles such as prep cook or dishwasher is advantageous
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food quality
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
  • Food safety certification such as ServSafe is a plus
  • Ability to accommodate special dietary restrictions and requests
  • Basic proficiency in English for communication and math for portioning

Job Duties

  • Prepping ingredients by washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning
  • Preparing cooking stations ensuring tools, ingredients, and utensils are ready
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace following food safety protocols
  • Cooking food according to restaurant recipes and standards using various methods
  • Plating and presenting food making dishes visually appealing according to standards
  • Ensuring food is cooked to proper temperature and timing orders efficiently
  • Managing multiple orders by reading tickets, coordinating timing, and collaborating with team
  • Communicating clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house to ensure order accuracy
  • Adhering to food safety regulations including handling, storage, and sanitation
  • Maintaining cleanliness at cooking stations during service
  • Managing inventory and ordering ingredients as needed
  • Following portion control to minimize waste
  • Accommodating special dietary requests with accuracy and flexibility
