Job Requirements

  • Basic cooking techniques: sautéing, grilling, toasting, frying, and assembling menu items
  • Recipe execution: following standardized recipes, portion sizes, and plating guidelines
  • Time management: coordinating multiple orders and maintaining flow on a single-person line
  • Food safety and sanitation: proper handwashing, temperature control, labeling, and storage procedures
  • Knife handling: safe and efficient cutting, dicing, and slicing
  • Cleaning and organization: maintaining a tidy station and assisting with end-of-shift cleaning duties

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch, and après service, following established recipes and standards
  • Run the line independently during slower periods and work efficiently during busier rushes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation throughout service
  • Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning as part of a shared team responsibility
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Communicate clearly and work cooperatively with front-of-house and kitchen team members
  • Take initiative to stay productive during slower times-cleaning, restocking, or light prep work
