  • Proven experience as a line cook in a high volume restaurant
  • Ability to work under pressure and to execute duties without supervision
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and a passion for food
  • Availability to work evenings, some weekends and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards
  • Prep and stock stations with necessary ingredients and kitchen equipment
  • Follow proper food handling procedures and safety guidelines including FIFO and labeling
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas including storage areas and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management regarding food orders, inventory, and any issues that may arise
  • Able to multitask and work various duties including dishwashing
  • Aid banquet team with necessary preparations
